The LD Systems MAUI 44 G3 MIX takes the column PA concept into a decidedly professional dimension. It retains the key strengths of the MAUI series: fast setup, a discreet appearance and wide sound dispersion, while adding substantial power reserves, a genuine digital mixer and an acoustic architecture designed for large-scale live performances.

Its active 4-way system combines a robust subwoofer with a two-piece column. This design delivers coherent full-range reproduction, with a strong vocal presence, precise high-frequency definition and physical low end without sacrificing the overall clarity of the mix.

The all-in-one solution for bands, live artists and event production

The MAUI 44 G3 MIX is aimed at solo performers, duos, bands, mobile DJs, hosts, venues and event professionals who want to centralize sound reinforcement and mixing in a compact system. Its numerous inputs allow microphones, instruments, audio players and line sources to be connected without having to transport an external console as standard.

Its four monitor outputs make it easy to manage stage monitoring for several musicians. The column's cardioid directivity also limits the quantity of sound projected back towards the performers: a valuable advantage for improving onstage comfort and reducing the risk of feedback, particularly in reverberant venues or high-volume setups.

Digital mixer, wireless control and cardioid dispersion

The built-in digital mixer features eight XLR/jack Combo inputs, six of which are equipped with microphone preamps. The internal effects enhance vocals and instruments without additional equipment, while the input for a footswitch keeps certain controls accessible during performance. Bluetooth also enables wireless playback of background music, soundtracks or content from a compatible device.

All system settings can be controlled from the integrated color display or via the free MAUI MIX app for iOS and Android. For larger setups, two MAUI 44 G3 MIX systems can be linked via SysLink to create a stereo system. The entire setup can then be controlled centrally, with access to all 16 available channels.

The column combines 14 3.5-inch neodymium midrange speakers with 4 1-inch compression drivers. The BEM-optimized waveguides and phase plugs contribute to even 120 x 25-degree coverage. The horn-loaded midrange drivers provide efficiency, impact and intelligibility, which are particularly valuable for singing and speech.

The subwoofer houses a 15-inch neodymium woofer, bass-reflex loaded and optimized to reduce air turbulence in the ports. The result is extended, clean and powerful low-end reproduction, even at high levels. Adding a second MAUI 44 G3 or MAUI 44 G3 MIX SUB subwoofer further expands the possibilities: facing forward, it increases low-frequency sound pressure; facing backward with the cardioid preset, it focuses more of the bass towards the audience.
