The Flagship of the MAUI Series for Large-Scale Events
The MAUI 66 G3 represents the most ambitious approach in the MAUI range: retaining the simplicity of an active column PA system while delivering the power, low-end response and throw typically sought from larger sound reinforcement systems. Its 4-way active architecture has been designed to reproduce a spacious, energetic and articulate full-range sound, even when the volume level rises.
Its birch plywood subwoofer cabinet with Polyurea coating and powder-coated aluminium columns are designed to withstand regular use on the road. Despite its professional size, the system remains quick to set up thanks to the wireless connection between the components and automatic column detection.
An Active Column PA Designed for DJs, Bands and Event Professionals
This column PA system is aimed at professional DJs, live bands, presenters, rental companies and event professionals who want to cover large spaces without multiplying the number of loudspeakers. It is equally at home at high-end weddings, corporate events, outdoor stages, clubs, concerts, fashion shows and temporary installations.
Its 120-degree by 25-degree dispersion provides broad, controlled projection in front of the system. The cardioid directivity, meanwhile, limits the sound energy directed towards the stage: artists, microphones and monitors therefore benefit from a cleaner environment, with less bleed and improved intelligibility.
A Powerful, Highly Defined 4-Way Cardioid Sound System
The subwoofer features an 18-inch neodymium loudspeaker in a deeply tuned bass-reflex enclosure. Its airflow-optimized elliptical ports reduce turbulence and chuffing noise, preserving tight, precise and punchy bass, even at high volume. To expand the system, a second MAUI 66 G3 SUB can be placed facing the audience to provide additional low-end reinforcement and up to 6 dB of extra acoustic pressure in the lower frequency range.
For configurations requiring greater control, this same second subwoofer can be oriented towards the rear and used with the cardioid preset. The low end is then reinforced towards the audience while being significantly reduced behind the system, making this a particularly relevant solution on stage, in reverberant venues or near residential areas.
The two-part column incorporates 16 3.5-inch neodymium midrange loudspeakers and 4 1-inch compression drivers. The BEM-optimized waveguides and new phase plugs ensure even high-frequency dispersion. Two midrange drivers positioned above the tweeters enhance presence and definition over long distances, while the horn-loaded midrange drivers in the lower section increase efficiency and impact in the vocal range.
Dedicated Class D amplification for each band, crossover frequencies at 200 Hz, 700 Hz and 1,800 Hz, and second-generation DynX DSP processing ensure coherent reproduction. Peak, RMS and thermal limiters effectively protect the system and preserve a clear, dynamic sound without noticeable distortion at high levels.
Two XLR/jack combo inputs make it easy to connect a DJ mixing top, microphone, instrument or line-level source. The two Thru outputs make it easy to send the signal to another system, while the dedicated sub output simplifies the addition of an external subwoofer. Bluetooth 5.4, compatible with SBC, AAC and aptX, also enables high-quality wireless audio streaming.
