Summary of This Method

This piano method offers a progression designed to build a robust piano playing technique based on a clear guiding thread: rhythmic richness. Instead of limiting to "mechanical" reading, the student develops a fine perception of the pulse through rhythmic cells as diverse as possible, placed in musical games. The goal is to strengthen the bodily anchoring of rhythm to gain regularity, precision, and ease from the very first lessons.

Throughout the course, the child is invited to explore the piano across its entire range. This approach encourages sonic curiosity and active listening: identifying intervals, discovering harmonies, paying attention to timbre and resonances. The student gradually learns to organize and understand the keyboard space, which promotes orientation, musical memory, and autonomy in practice.

Great freedom is given to the teacher to personalize the interpretation: choice of fingerings, management of dynamics, articulation, and sound intentions. This flexibility allows the method to adapt to different profiles (beginners, children already comfortable, students more auditory than readers) and various teaching practices. For some pieces, reading may require accompaniment, but the method also relies on children's memorization abilities: learning then passes through listening, gesture, intelligent repetition, and the pleasure of playing.
