This collection offers a structured immersion into the guitar technique of finger picking, through the study of ten instrumental pieces with American colors. Each title highlights a specific rhythmic and melodic vocabulary to develop thumb-finger independence, right-hand consistency, and phrasing precision in real musical situations.
For each piece, you will find the sheet music and the tablature, accompanied by a detailed analysis : breakdown of patterns, technical points to master, and progressive exercises designed to isolate difficulties. The method notably addresses alternating basses and muted basses, the pivot finger, blocking, slides, as well as essential ornaments for the style (hammering-on, pulling-off, harmonics, rolls).
The CD is designed as a true coach: it first includes the 10 recorded pieces (tracks 1 to 10), then the corresponding exercises (tracks 11 to 26). Each exercise is played three times slowly then three times at tempo, allowing a progressive and secure speed increase before tackling the complete piece. In the book, an index marker helps quickly identify the track linked to each exercise.
