A Mouthpiece Designed for Pedagogy and Instrument Creation
The Lugdivine mouthpieces were developed as part of the "wild lutherie" initiatives led by the CFMI (Centre de Formation de Musiciens Intervenants) at the University Charles-de-Gaulle - Lille 3. Their principle is simple: a cup (the part in contact with the lips) that allows air vibration and exploration of the basics of brass playing, while opening a wide field of inventiveness with everyday materials.
For What Uses and Which Musicians?
This mouthpiece is primarily intended for beginners, teachers, music facilitators, and group workshops: discovering sound production, first sensations of lip vibration, and sonic exploration. It can also be mounted on "real" instruments for initiation, especially when limiting mouthpiece exchanges between participants is desired. Important : for any returns, the opened product must be free of any signs of use (for hygiene reasons).
Sound and Design
Made of ABS plastic, the Lugdivine mouthpiece emphasizes easy handling and an intuitive approach. The cup facilitates learning fundamentals (breath, placement, vibration) and allows quick sound production on simple setups. The lightweight plastic material is suited for intensive use in school or community environments (color non-contractual).
Recommended Compatible Accessories
No specific accessories are required: it is designed to be used with recycled elements (tubes, hoses, bells). For group use, simply establish a cleaning protocol adapted to your organization.
