A Third-Generation M-Audio Reference
Building on M-Audio's historical expertise in MIDI control, the Keystation 49 MK3 modernizes a formula beloved by home studio enthusiasts. This third generation enhances mobile ergonomics, adds dedicated transport controls, and comes with a current software ecosystem for quick integration with major DAWs.
Who Is It For and What Are Its Uses?
Ideal for starting out in music production as well as complementing an advanced setup, this controller is aimed at mobile producers, beatmakers, composers, and educators. Its streamlined yet effective surface facilitates learning, while its 49 standard keys provide the range needed to compose basses, pads, melodic lines, and support full arrangements.
Smooth Control and Accelerated Workflow
The modulation and pitch bend wheels ensure natural articulations on synths and virtual pianos. The octave selector instantly extends the range, and the fader can control track volume, a macro control, or any other assigned function. The DAW transport and navigation buttons allow recording, playback, and stopping without leaving the keyboard, optimizing your creative flow.
Ready-to-Play Software Integration
The included bundle covers the essentials for composing, recording, and mixing. Between Ableton Live Lite for clip-based production, Pro Tools First for multitrack audio, AIR instruments (Mini Grand, Velvet, Xpand!2), and MPC Beats with its synths, effects, and banks, you have a solid sonic palette from the first connection.
