Mackie MC-450

From Mackie Monitor Heritage to More Reliable Headphone Listening

For decades, Mackie has built a solid reputation in professional audio, notably thanks to its studio monitors appreciated for their clarity. The MC series continues this tradition: offering headphone listening that helps make quick and consistent decisions on vocals, dynamics, and the overall balance of a mix. The goal is simple: to recreate, on headphones, a sense of precision and control inspired by nearfield monitoring, while maintaining a practical approach for modern production.

With this philosophy, the Mackie MC series headphones aim to become a reliable tool in the studio chain, complementary to speakers. They allow checking details (breaths, clicks, reverb tails, panning) and working at times or in environments where monitors are not usable.

Headphones Made for Home Studio, Mobile Creation, and Long Sessions

Thanks to its closed design, these headphones are particularly suitable for uses where isolation matters: close vocal recording, instrument tracking, or simply producing in an apartment. The supra-aural format (ear pads resting on the ear) favors compactness and quick setup, while the ergonomic headband and comfortable ear pads are designed for long-lasting wear.

In practice, they are well suited for content creators, musicians, and beatmakers as well as technicians who need easy-to-carry headphones. The foldable feature facilitates storage in a bag, and the inclusion of multiple cable options allows adapting the headphones to different contexts: studio, smartphone, video calls, voice note recording, etc.
