With the MB GV 4 Gloxy, Markbass offers a 4-string electric bass focused on efficiency: a comfortable "P STYLE" body, simple and reliable craftsmanship, and above all electronics designed to adapt to all situations. Within the range, this model positions itself as a modern and practical instrument, capable of performing both in rehearsals and in the studio thanks to its onboard preamp and backup passive mode.

This bass is well suited for intermediate bassists who want a responsive and versatile instrument, while remaining accessible to beginners thanks to its ergonomics. Its long 34-inch scale length provides tension and precision, particularly appreciated in rock, pop, funk, blues, and variety styles, with enough dynamic range for more modern sounds.

The sound

The basswood body offers a natural balance: present lows, clear mids, and a homogeneous response, ideal for finding its place in the mix. The maple neck and fingerboard enhance attack and definition, with a brighter high end, very useful for articulated lines and ghost notes. The MB JJ Style pickups provide precision and versatility: by blending the volumes (one per pickup), you can go from a tight, percussive sound to a rounder, more enveloping tone. The MARKBASS INSTRUMENT PRE preamp and its 3-band EQ allow quick adjustment of bass, mids, and treble, while the passive tone control and active/passive switch ensure a usable sound in any context.

Recommended compatible accessories

To maintain the original feel and balance, prefer a nickel 4-string long scale set with gauges 40-100 (the same gauge as the factory-installed strings). Since the Markbass Deluxe gig bag is included, no additional case is necessary for regular transport.
