Historical Context and Positioning in the Range
Designed to meet the needs of mobile percussionists, this Meinl medium-sized cajon bag focuses on a simple and reliable balance: padded protection, backpack-style carrying, and accessory storage. It serves as a practical solution to secure a "wide" cajon during transport.
Who This Drum/Instrument Is For
This bag is intended for all cajon players, from beginners to experienced musicians, who regularly transport their instrument. It is particularly suitable for acoustic contexts (flamenco, pop, folk, Latin, street music) where one often moves with a lightweight set and protecting the instrument from shocks and abrasions is essential.
Features and Innovations
The padding limits impacts and helps preserve the soundbox as well as the edges, sensitive areas on a cajon. The harness frees the hands to carry a microphone stand, a stand, or a second bag, while the integrated pocket prevents small accessories from being left loose.
Sound Quality
A bag does not alter the playing sound, but it helps preserve sound quality over time: fewer knocks on corners, fewer marks on the wood, and better protection during transport. By protecting the integrity of the cajon body, you reduce the risk of unwanted vibrations caused by shocks or deformations.
