The Montarbo R108 is part of a series of active wooden speakers designed to cover a wide range of applications, featuring 4 full-range cabinets from 8 to 15 inches and active subwoofers (15 and 18 inches) to build a complete system. Within this family, the R108 is the most compact speaker: an easy-to-transport format, quick to set up, while maintaining the aesthetics and durability of a wooden cabinet with professional finish.

Its approach focuses on acoustic pressure and vocal fidelity. The internal processing uses FIR filters to achieve very clear reproduction, particularly appreciated for speech, vocals, and acoustic sources.

Thanks to its 8-inch driver, controlled directivity, and presets, the R108 is an excellent choice for performances where a compact yet serious speaker is desired: small front-of-house for duos/trios, nearfield diffusion, vocal reinforcement, rehearsal rooms, or stage monitoring when space must remain minimal.

Its 2 input channels with independent level controls simplify quick setups (microphone + line source, or two line sources). Depending on your needs, the output can send a link signal or a mix of both channels, convenient for chaining a second speaker without multiplying external boxes.

28/56-bit DSP and FIR Filters: Clarity and Coherence

The R108 features a 28/56-bit DSP with FIR filters. Practically, this aims for a more coherent response (especially in phase) and a cleaner rendering in the mid-high range, where intelligibility is critical. The 4 preset equalizers are selectable directly on the speaker to quickly adapt the curve according to the application, including wedge position.

Two Input Channels and LINK/MIX Output

Designed for quick installations, the speaker offers two inputs and simple controls: per-channel levels, master level, preset selection, and channel 1 sensitivity adjustment. A switch on the output allows choosing between LINK (signal pass-through) or MIX (mix of both channels), making chaining very flexible for rehearsals and performances.

Wooden Cabinet and Professional Finish
