Since its inception in 2010 in Shenzhen, Mooer has become known for democratizing compact, technology-focused solutions for guitarists. In this spirit, the GWF4 is not a traditional effects pedal but a wireless footswitch designed to make the GTRS experience much smoother on stage: instead of bending down to the instrument or relying on app control, you get a natural and immediate foot control.

Intended Use and Target Audience

The Mooer GTRS GWF4 is aimed at any guitarist using a Mooer GTRS guitar who wants to exploit its sounds in real conditions: switching between verse/chorus presets, going from clean to lead, activating/deactivating an effect section, or simply staying focused on playing.

It is especially relevant for live performance (where every move counts), rehearsal (to quickly test multiple sound scenes), and in a minimalist pedalboard : being wireless and battery-powered reduces clutter and risks associated with floor cables.

Features and Handling: Simple with the Foot, Precise on the Screen

The GWF4 includes 4 footswitches (A, B, C, D) and an LED screen that shows the current preset. The LEDs associated with the footswitches provide quick visual cues on status and selection, useful when changing sounds between measures.

In terms of control, you can change presets and navigate banks: for example, bank access and preset confirmation are done directly by foot without interrupting play. Some switches can also be assigned to control functions (CTRL), and a TAP mode is provided to set tempo on relevant presets (typically sounds with delay).

The connection is designed to be fast: once paired, daily use is "plug and play." On the side, you'll find an on/off switch and a USB-C port for charging.

Sound

A footswitch like the GWF4 does not process the audio signal: it adds no coloration and does not physically alter your tone. Its musical impact is different: it allows you to chain the right sounds at the right moment more naturally and precisely, often resulting in a more relaxed playing style, cleaner transitions, and more controlled performances.
