The S800, a modern Strat powered by GTRS technology
With the GTRS series, MOOER brings its expertise in digital effects to an electric guitar with a traditional aesthetic. Developed with instrument designer Kenji Wong, the S800 combines the familiar features of a three-pickup guitar with vibrato and a particularly comprehensive built-in audio processing system.
The GTRS S800 is a modern instrument designed for guitarists who want to streamline their setup without giving up tonal variety. Its built-in intelligent processor makes it possible to prepare complete sounds, practise with backing rhythms, or play with headphones and on the move, while retaining the direct feel of a classic electric guitar.
A versatile guitar for creating, rehearsing and performing on stage
The MOOER GTRS S800 is primarily aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists, but its intuitive approach will also appeal to motivated beginners who want to quickly explore a wide range of sounds. Its C-shaped neck, relatively flat-radius rosewood key and 42 mm / 1.65" nut provide comfortable playability for both chords and solos.
Thanks to its S-S-H configuration, it covers a broad range of styles: blues, pop, funk, rock, fusion, indie and light metal. The GTRS system further expands its possibilities for home practice, demo recording, rehearsals and performances where quick setup is essential. The iOS and Android app notably allows you to organise settings and presets according to your needs.
Alnico V pickups and a built-in processor for an expanded tonal palette
The American basswood body provides an appealing balance of lightness, responsiveness and tonal consistency. This tonewood highlights the different pickup positions without excessively accentuating any particular frequency range. The roasted maple neck contributes to precise attack, while the rosewood key provides a rounder, more nuanced response in the midrange.
The three GTRS Alnico V pickups are arranged in an S-S-H configuration: two single-coil pickups in the neck and middle positions, complemented by a humbucker in the bridge position. The single-coil pickups deliver clear, airy and expressive tones, ideal for arpeggios, funk and blues sounds. The bridge humbucker provides greater density, output level and bite for overdriven tones and more powerful riffs.
The 5-way selector, volume and tone controls allow you to quickly shape the instrument's natural voice. The " Super Knob " provides access to the main output and control of the GTRS system presets. With its 9 simulations, 126 effects, 40 drum machines, 10 metronomes and 80-second looper, this guitar becomes a truly self-contained creative tool.
Recommended compatible accessories
To retain the original setup and vibrato response, we recommend using a set of 09-42 nickel-plated electric guitar strings. This is the gauge originally fitted to the GTRS S800 and the safest choice when replacing the strings. The guitar already comes with a gig bag and a USB-C cable.
