The GTRS S800: When MOOER Merges Traditional Guitar and Integrated Technology
Known for its compact and technological approach, MOOER has transferred its expertise into a unique electric guitar: the GTRS series. The S800 is one of the flagship models of the range, designed as a true stage and studio guitar but with an onboard effects ecosystem. The result: an instrument that feels familiar to play while offering an ultra-practical "all-in-one" approach for home playing, rehearsals, or on the go.
For Whom and Which Styles?
The GTRS S800 is aimed at beginner to intermediate guitarists who want to explore a wide range of sounds without multiplying gear, as well as experienced musicians seeking a lightweight setup that's quick to assemble. Thanks to the S-S-H pickup combination and integrated effects engine, it handles pop, rock, funk, blues, worship, indie comfortably, and can venture into heavier genres (hard rock) via the humbucker and onboard processing.
The Tone
With its American basswood body, the S800 offers a balanced foundation: present mids, clean lows, and controlled highs, making it an excellent platform for processed sounds. The 3 GTRS Alnico V pickups in S-S-H configuration deliver both precise attack and articulate cleans on the single coils, and more density on the humbucker for saturation. The electronics remain straightforward (1 volume, 1 tone, 5-position selector) and the "Super Knob" adds a dimension of preset and main output control. The intelligent GTRS processor complements the instrument with 9 simulations, 126 effects, an 80-second looper, and work tools (drum machines, metronomes): everything needed to quickly sculpt a ready-to-play sound for headphones, amp, or recording.
