A wah designed as a modern tribute to vintage Morleys

The Morley Lerxst Blah Blah Wah follows the lineage of the brand's optical wahs, with a decidedly "player-first" approach: you play, it activates, and expression is immediately under your foot. Its Blah Blah circuit is inspired by the spirit of old Morleys and is claimed as a derivative of the vintage Morley Pik-a-Wah, adding a layer of more atypical, more vocal filtering capable of going beyond traditional wah.
The result: a pedal that can cover the classic wah-rock staples while opening the door to more modern textures, almost "synth-like" at times, without losing the organic and responsive feel expected from a wah.

For which guitarists (and situations)?

This pedal is aimed at musicians who want a quick-to-use wah for live performance, without the stress of a "click" at the wrong moment. The activation upon foot placement is particularly comfortable on stage when alternating between rhythm and leads, or when you need to grab an effect on the fly between phrases.
Regarding styles, the classic Wah side will delight fans of rock, funk, blues, and hard rock. The more expressive Blah Blah mode suits progressive passages, creative atmospheres, lines that need to "speak" in the mix, and more experimental treatments in the studio. It naturally fits on a touring pedalboard but remains just as relevant in the home studio thanks to its very controllable output.

Controls, modes, and Morley philosophy: simple, effective, musical

The Lerxst Blah Blah Wah combines two complementary circuits: a classic Wah activated without a switch (triggered as soon as you press the pedal), and a Blah Blah circuit activated via a dedicated switch. This second circuit offers more characterful filtering, highly sensitive to playing dynamics and pedal position.
To refine the Blah Blah character, a "Pitch" potentiometer allows you to choose a deeper or brighter response: handy for adapting the effect to your guitar, tuning, or the place you want to occupy in the mix. Finally, the built-in buffer helps preserve the signal, a real plus if you use long cables, several true bypass pedals, or a dense effects chain.

Sound

In Wah mode, you get an expressive and clear voice: smooth travel, immediate response, and a very natural feel under the foot. The optical technology provides silent and consistent use, ideal for slow sweeps as well as more rhythmic wah hits.
In Blah Blah mode, the pedal shifts into a more "talking" and textured register: you can achieve vocal accents, pronounced formants, and colors that sometimes evoke a synth filter, while maintaining the dynamics of an expression pedal. With the Pitch control, you can go from a thick, dark grain to a sharper, more percussive articulation depending on your amp, pickups, and saturation level.
Designed in collaboration with Alex Lifeson, this wah is tailored for guitarists who like to sculpt phrases and give real intention to every attack, whether on a snappy clean tone or a well-established crunch/lead sound.
