Born from the collaboration between Ernie Ball Music Man and Darkglass, the DarkRay "Stealth Black" combines high-end luthiery and contemporary electronics. Its lightweight, contoured ash body, matching headstock, and ebony fingerboard create a silhouette that is both sleek and aggressive. Designed and manufactured in the USA, it upholds Music Man's reliability standards with discreet black hardware and fast-feeling oiled/waxed finishes.

The Sound

The neodymium magnet humbucker bridge pickup delivers a powerful, precise signal that is extremely responsive to playing nuances. Ash provides attack and definition in the low-mid range, while the ebony fingerboard enhances clarity and articulation. The Darkglass 2-band preamp (bass/treble) effectively sculpts the spectrum and includes two distinct distortion circuits, Alpha and Omega, allowing a shift from tight grit to massive saturation. The vintage top-loaded steel bridge and 34" scale ensure tension, sustain, and a firm response, ideal for standard tuning.
