A "Keep It Simple" approach designed with guitar techs
After years of research and development in collaboration with guitar tech Geoff Luttrell and other technicians, MusicNomad created the KEEP IT SIMPLE (KISS) method: a simple and effective logic to review the vital areas of an instrument. The goal is clear: to make setup more accessible, more precise, and above all less intimidating, whether you work on your instruments occasionally or regularly.
Who is it for, and when to use it?
The MN609 is aimed at guitarists, bassists, technicians, and enthusiasts who want to set up their own guitar or bass, whether electric, acoustic, or classical. Ideal for correcting too high action, adjusting a truss rod, checking a radius, optimizing playability after a string gauge change, or simply inspecting an instrument before rehearsal, studio, or tour.
Precision tools: measurements, truss rod, and workshop versatility
The core of the MN604 kit offers precision gauges to guide your adjustments: truss rod ruler, pick capo, string action ruler, two radius and nut height gauges, all accompanied by a 24-page manual and stored in an easy-to-carry box. Additionally, the MN229 provides maximum versatility with a multi-bit/spanner wrench set essential in the case or on the workbench, while the MN235 focuses on the truss rod with dedicated wrenches and sockets, magnetic screwdrivers for small cover screws, and a specific tool for adjustment wheels.
