Controls, Modes, and Design: Simple but Highly Sculptable

The MXR Chorus Bass Deluxe offers a straightforward interface with controls designed to quickly find the right "sweet spot." The rate, intensity, and width knobs determine the modulation speed, effect amount, and perceived stereo width (sense of openness), allowing you to go from a subtle chorus to a very present modulation. The 2-band EQ (bass and treble) lets you brighten the effect for more definition or thicken the lows for a more massive sound.

Two switches add real versatility: Flanger on/off to switch to a more "jet" and pronounced character, and X-over (crossover) on/off to choose whether the effect focuses on a part of the spectrum or applies more broadly. Finally, internal settings (tip or ring) allow adapting the bypass behavior: stereo hardwire bypass or mono true bypass, convenient depending on your cabling and rig.
