Native Instruments Hazy Days MPC Expansion

What Hazy Days Is For

Hazy Days is a sound library designed to produce laid-back, lo-fi, soulful hip-hop with soft textures, organic drums, and a "late night" atmosphere. It targets beatmakers who want to quickly build a coherent sonic identity on the MPC, whether for chill instrumentals, tracks with melodic vocals, cinematic interludes, or brighter, more vibrant productions. Thanks to the kits and presets, you can sketch a complete beat in minutes, then refine the arrangement and mix directly within your MPC workflow.

Main Features

The grainy character of vinyl, effortlessly

The drum, piano, and synth samples have been crafted to capture an analog texture: softened transients, natural harmonics, and a tactile feel. The result: loops and one-shots sit easily in the mix and immediately deliver that "dusty" and musical vibe, perfect for laid-back grooves and cozy atmospheres.

MPC kits and presets for faster composing

With its 50 MPC kits and 45 instrument presets, Hazy Days is designed to quickly move from idea to track. The kits structure the rhythm (kick, snare, hats, percussion, and textures), while the presets facilitate harmonic and melodic writing. You can start from a kit, lay down a progression, then create variations by changing a few elements without starting from scratch.

Ready-to-use projects for learning and arranging

The included 3 MPC projects serve as solid starting points: ideal for understanding the sonic intent, extracting patterns, transitions, and arrangement ideas, then adapting them to your own style. It's also an excellent way to save time when you want to quickly deliver a demo or a polished production.

Rich content to vary textures

Between drum samples, loops, and one-shots, the library allows you to alternate between a very "90s" sound and a more current aesthetic. Layer a loop to set a vibe, reinforce with one-shots to emphasize accents, and personalize the groove by playing dynamics on the pad, just like on a classic MPC.
