The KH 150 follows the same philosophy as all Neumann studio monitors: maximum linearity, minimal distortion, no coloration, and perfect adaptability to any acoustic environment. It lets you hear every nuance of your tracks. Once you eliminate guesswork, mixing becomes much faster and easier—not to mention more creative: does it sound amazing, or can I get away with that? Is this vocal bright or sibilant? Is there too much bass? The KH 150 will tell you. Honestly.

A Bigger Impact

What sets the KH 150 apart from its smaller siblings is its deeper bass response down to 39 Hz. That’s nearly as low as the larger KH 310, made possible by the KH 150’s new high-precision 6.5" woofer in a carefully designed bass-reflex enclosure. The KH 150 is therefore perfectly suited for urban music, EDM, film scoring, and any styles requiring extended and/or high-level low-end listening. Thanks to powerful amplifiers (145 W/100 W) and sophisticated protection limiters, no clarity is lost even at high SPLs. But the KH 150 is also a true all-rounder, performing equally well for everything from rock to classical music, as well as broadcast and voice-over work.

Exceptional Frequency Response

The KH 150 features an exceptionally linear frequency response from 39 Hz to 21 kHz (±3 dB). Not only that, it also linearizes phase response! This results in clear mids with astonishing transparency and extreme temporal accuracy, meaning precise impulse reproduction and resolved reverberation. This is made possible by DSP-controlled electronics enabling sophisticated crossovers and avoiding phase distortion caused by analog filters. The internal DSP also achieves new standards in tonal consistency, as the KH 150 is manufactured with extremely tight tolerances not exceeding ±0.8 dB! And you can hear it too: the stereo image is remarkably sharp.

Ready for Your Room

Even the best speaker sounds only as good as the acoustic environment allows. Neumann’s Mathematically Modeled Dispersion™ (MMD™) waveguide ensures a wide sweet spot and minimizes desk reflections. But the KH 150 goes much further: its internal DSP enables room calibration using Neumann’s revolutionary Automatic Monitor Alignment system. The MA 1 (sold separately) ensures your DSP-powered monitors are perfectly adapted to your room’s characteristics and precisely calibrated for your listening position. Even in acoustically treated rooms, this results in a huge improvement.

AES67 – Audio over IP

Additionally, the KH 150 AES67 variant offers built-in redundant AES67 audio network ports fully compliant with broadcast standards such as ST 2110, ST 2022-7, and RAVENNA redundancy. The KH 150 AES67 is also compatible with AES67 network streams generated by DANTE®.

Low Power Consumption

Neumann engineers meticulously developed a patent-pending amplification technology combining superior audio performance with Class D energy efficiency. Although the KH 150’s amplifiers deliver up to 145 W to the 6.5" woofer and 100 W to the 1" tweeter, they consume only 17 W at idle. An optional automatic standby mode can be activated to reduce power consumption to 0.3 W when the KH 150 is not in use.
