DSP, Controlled Directivity, and Built-in Safety

Its 24-bit/48 kHz DSP engine drives an 8th-order linear phase crossover filter, ensuring a clean junction between the 4" woofer and 1" tweeter. The "Mathematically Modeled Dispersion" waveguide controls dispersion to reduce reflections, stabilize the soundstage, and maintain off-axis accuracy.

To adapt to the room, the KH 80 DSP features comprehensive acoustic controls: 4 positions for low-midrange, 8 IIR PEQ/first-order filters, and bass/treble shelf filters. A delay up to 70 ms with "Lipsync" parameters facilitates audio/video temporal alignment. Separate peak limiters per channel and thermal protection ensure reliability and endurance at high levels, with extremely low self-noise.
