What Aligner Is For
Aligner is a plug-in dedicated to multi-mic recordings and doubled sources. It synchronizes the signal arrival between different tracks-for example, overheads and snare, DI and guitar amp, stereo pair and close mic-to restore constructive frequency addition and transient focus.
Main Features
Intelligent Analysis and Correction
The plug-in evaluates the time offset between tracks and applies the necessary compensation to realign the signals "in phase." It simultaneously manages polarity to avoid bass cancellations and the sensation of a "hollow" mix.
Fast and Reliable Workflow
Designed for daily use, Aligner reduces manual back-and-forth: a few adjustments are enough to achieve a clean and reproducible result, whether on a multichannel drum kit, guitar reamp, or a set of ambient microphones.
Fine Control and DAW Integration
Besides automatic alignment, manual settings allow adjustments down to the millisecond or sample level, with correlation meters to visually and audibly validate the correction. Compatible with the most common Mac and Windows environments.

Questions frequently asked
Does Nugen Audio Aligner work on both Mac and Windows?
The stated compatibility covers Mac OS X 10.9.x or higher, as well as Windows XP or higher.
Is it possible to align overheads with a snare drum?
Time alignment can synchronize overhead and snare tracks. Polarity is also managed to minimize bass cancellations.
How to correct the delay between a DI and a guitar amplifier?
The plugin analyzes the time delay between the two tracks and applies the necessary compensation. Manual adjustments then allow fine-tuning down to the millisecond or sample level.
Can Aligner correct the phase of a multi-mic drum kit?
For a multichannel drum kit, the correction aims to restore frequency constructive addition and transient focus. Correlation meters provide visual and auditory feedback on the result. Polarity can be adjusted simultaneously.
Is the software available for download?
The product is offered as a downloadable version.
