NUX NCK-430: a modern console piano designed for playing, recording, and streaming

With the NCK-430, NUX aims for a complete "piano" experience in a digital console piano format: a touch close to acoustic, detailed sound, and connectivity designed for current uses (home studio, online lessons, livestream, content creation). Its positioning emphasizes expressiveness (multi-sampling, resonances) and simple integration with computer and mobile devices, without multiplying external boxes.

Keyboard Design

The NUX NCK-430 features an 88-key weighted hammer keyboard, WKJ-03 model with triple sensor, graded mechanics, and escapement, to provide a progressive response close to an acoustic piano. The triple detection improves repetition precision and consistency on fast nuances, while the ivory and ebony-style key finish offers a more natural feel under the fingers (grip and comfort). Regarding settings, the touch response offers 10 levels with independent adjustment for white and black keys, to adapt the keyboard behavior to your playing style, whether classical, jazz, accompaniment, or pop.

Sound Quality

The sound engine relies on an 18-layer sampled piano sound, which preserves substance and continuity in dynamic transitions. The realism sensation is enhanced by string resonance and pedal response, designed to recreate the typical vibrations and harmonics of a grand piano. The NCK-430 also provides a large library to cover the needs of a versatile digital piano: 150 sounds in total, including 20 piano sounds and 130 other timbres. The maximum polyphony of 256 ensures a comfortable margin for sustain playing, layering, and passages rich in resonances. For sound diffusion, the bi-amplified four-speaker system delivers a wider sound image and better detail rendering, both for daily practice and "living room" or studio playing.

Built-in Effects

The NCK-430 features 5 effects and classic effect presets designed in collaboration with artists, with ready-to-use chains for different styles and eras. The chains may include: equalizer, chorus, vibrato, delay, and reverb, allowing quick transitions from intimate piano to a broader, more processed sound.

Educational Functions

For learning and practice, the NCK-430 integrates a full metronome (4 sounds, 9 time signatures, tempo 40 to 240 bpm) and internal content to progress on the piano. The 100 built-in classical pieces facilitate listening, inspiration, and sectional work. The Layer and Split modes also support pedagogy: layer two timbres with adjustable volume balance, or split the keyboard with adjustable split point, octave shift, independent volumes, and sounds. The whole system is designed to remain simple to use while being flexible enough to support a journey from beginner to advanced pianist.
