Founded in 1994, Ortega develops its instruments using traditional manufacturing methods, supported by German design focused on consistency and quality control. This RGL5CE follows this philosophy: an accessible format guitar, carefully selected woods, and ready to accompany the musician both acoustically and plugged in, thanks to its MagusUke system.

The Ortega RGL5CE is aimed at guitarists seeking a compact and versatile instrument, as well as musicians who appreciate a generous nut width for arpeggios, fingerstyle, and comfortable chord positions. Its specific tuning (see specifications) makes it an excellent choice to enrich textures, explore ideas differently, or have an inspiring backup instrument at home or on the road.

Sound

The spruce top provides definition and a clear attack, particularly appreciated for arpeggios and nuanced playing. The mahogany back and sides enhance warmth, with present mids and a balanced response, ideal for accompanying vocals or blending into an arrangement. When amplified, the EQ MagusUke preamp allows quick sound balance adjustments depending on the venue, amplifier, or mixer, while preserving the acoustic character of the instrument.

For simple everyday use, a clip-on chromatic tuner (compatible with all string instruments) and plectrums will be perfect. For string replacement, prefer sets suited to the original tuning indicated below.
