A Versatile Reference in the New Concorde Range
Ortofon has reimagined its famous Concorde series to meet the demands of modern DJs. The simplified range includes five models - "MIX," "DJ," "SCRATCH," "DIGITAL," and "CLUB" - making it easier to choose according to usage. Positioned as the most versatile, the Concorde MIX emphasizes reliability and durability, featuring a reinforced body and optimized ergonomics for quick handling.
Intended Uses and Target DJs
The Concorde MIX is aimed at beginner to advanced DJs seeking a single cartridge to seamlessly switch between generalist sets, open-format, or hip-hop, while practicing back-cueing and scratching. It excels in clubs, bars, mobile gigs, residencies, and event contexts where robustness and ease of use are essential.
Features and Innovations
The new Concorde body, wider and sturdier, offers a better grip and a clear view of the stylus tip for precise cueing. The spherical stylus tip provides tolerance and protects records during aggressive techniques, while the solid cantilever ensures increased longevity. With a 6 mV output level, the MIX efficiently drives the phono inputs of mixers for clear and present sound. The recommended tracking force of 3 g guarantees excellent groove grip and playback stability. Within the Concorde family, the stylus is replaceable, offering customization options and simplified maintenance.
