Ovation Celebrity 4 New England Burst

The Celebrity Series: Ovation's DNA in a Modern Electro-Acoustic Bass

This Celebrity incorporates iconic brand features, notably the Lyrachord body and stage-oriented design. The mid-depth format offers a good compromise between acoustic volume, seated comfort, and standing stability. Its New England Burst finish, combined with multi-ply cream binding and pearloid inlays, gives it a strong visual presence without excess.

For Whom and Which Styles?

This 4-string electro-acoustic bass is aimed at beginner to intermediate bassists seeking true versatility: playing acoustically at home, accompanying a guitar in "unplugged" settings, or plugging directly into a PA/mixing console. It is particularly suited to folk, pop, variety, worship, and acoustic sets where a clear and readable foundation is preferred over overwhelming low end.

Sound Characteristics

The solid spruce top provides responsiveness, attack, and good note-by-note articulation, useful for staying audible within an acoustic ensemble. The profiled quartersawn bracing contributes to more consistent vibration and better projection across the full spectrum. The Lyrachord mid-depth body promotes a direct and controlled sound, with tighter lows and excellent definition in the low-midrange. The Multi Soundhole design helps to evenly disperse sound and integrates well with amplified use thanks to the Slimline pickup and OP4BT preamp combo.
