At the Heart of Ovation Elite DNA

Born from the tradition of Ovation "roundback" guitars, this Pro Series Elite adopts the philosophy of a Lyrachord GS composite body in Deep Bowl format, combined with a solid Sitka spruce top. The absence of a cutaway favors the sound chamber and projection, while the multi-soundholes and their exotic wood inlays define the Elite aesthetic, instantly recognizable.

For Whom and Which Styles?

Designed for intermediate to advanced guitarists, this electro-acoustic excels in rhythmic playing, modern fingerstyle, and vocal accompaniment. Its strong projection makes it comfortable on stage as well as in the studio, from pop-rock to folk, and even more intimate ballads where clarity and harmonic richness are sought.

Sound

The solid Sitka spruce top provides attack, dynamics, and brightness, supported by the Elite Quintad bracing which balances bass and mids while promoting sustain. The Deep Bowl Lyrachord GS body reinforces the bass foundation and overall projection. On the amplification side, the OCP-1K piezo pickup paired with the OP-Pro preamp delivers a reliable, precise, and defined signal, with an integrated tuner and convenient EQ controls to tailor your tone to the venue and mix.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To preserve the original character, choose a set of phosphor bronze Light .012-.053 strings. Protect the instrument with a hard case or dedicated gig bag for Ovation Roundback Deep Bowl guitars, ensuring perfect support for the rounded body. Add a comfortable strap (approx. 50 mm wide) and an acoustic capo with adjustable tension for key changes without muting the top.
