A Distinctive Italian Signature
This Paoletti solid-body electric guitar belongs to the Signature series. Its character is built around an instantly recognizable combination: aged chestnut, a brass pickguard, and finishing that lets the wood take center stage. The gold rivets reinforce this aesthetic without concealing the material. The Sambora logo is available as an option on the pickguard; it is therefore not systematically included on the instrument.
Originally from Italy, this six-string guitar features a double-cutaway shape. It combines a distinctive presentation with an architecture familiar to electric guitarists. The roasted maple neck and Crelicam ebony key complete an instrument that focuses as much on touch as on appearance, without adding numerous controls or making it more difficult to handle.
For Guitarists Who Alternate Between Accompaniment and Lead Playing
The Paoletti Signature Wine is aimed in particular at intermediate and advanced musicians looking for a characterful guitar for blues, rock, or pop. Beginners can also find their bearings on it: the C profile, two controls, and 5-way selector offer a clear layout. The double cutaway provides easier access to the upper part of the key for melodic lines and solos.
The 25.51-inch / 648 mm scale length, combined with the D'Addario 10-46 string set, provides suitable tension for both chords and more forceful attacks. The 12-inch / 304.8 mm radius offers a relatively moderate curve, making it well suited to moving from rhythm playing to bends. With 22 frets, this configuration retains familiar reference points while allowing you to develop expressive playing in the upper register.
The stated weight of the instrument is 3.7 kg, while a general range of 3.5 to 5 kg is also listed in the model specifications. This is worth taking into account if you play standing for long periods: the weight of the individual instrument remains a matter of personal comfort, just like the neck profile or the guitar's balance.
Three Paoletti Pickups for Varied Textures
The neck and middle positions each feature a 7.5 kOhm Paoletti SingleCoil pickup. This single-coil architecture helps preserve a distinct response to picking attack and playing nuances, making it particularly useful for detailed chords, arpeggios, and blues phrases. At the bridge, the 8.1 kOhm Paoletti Rock II offers a different color for rhythm parts and lead playing.
The CRL 5-way selector lets you access several pickup configurations. The CTS volume and tone controls, both rated at 250 kOhms, then allow you to adjust the level and treble presence. This means you can shape the instrument's response directly from the guitar, in addition to the amplifier settings. Pickup resistance values are technical specifications, but they do not on their own summarize their output level or tonal character.
The aged chestnut body, roasted hard maple neck, and ebony key all contribute to the overall vibrational response. On a solid-body guitar, however, the amplified result depends largely on the pickups, their settings, and the signal chain being used. The Gotoh bridge with six saddles allows individual string adjustment, which is useful for setting the intonation. Sustain also depends on the overall setup and playing technique.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To replace the strings while retaining the specified gauge, choose a D'Addario 10-46 electric guitar string set. This allows you to maintain comparable tension without intentionally changing the balance of the setup. As the Paoletti case is included, it is the intended solution for storing and transporting this guitar. A soft, dry cloth is suitable for wiping the strings and surfaces after use, without applying any product whose compatibility with the finishing has not been confirmed.
