Historical Context and Positioning in the Range
The Masters series embodies Pearl's high-end legacy, designed to provide a professional response both in the studio and on stage. The Masters Maple Pure variant emphasizes the natural musicality of maple, with a thin reinforced construction that preserves the "modern vintage" character of the line: plenty of midrange body, great breadth, and versatility that define the Masters.
Who This Drum Kit Is For
This configuration is primarily aimed at demanding intermediate to expert drummers seeking a premium acoustic kit capable of covering a wide spectrum: pop, rock, funk, fusion, gospel, variety, and studio contexts. The 22-inch bass drum provides depth and foundation, while the 10 and 12-inch toms allow for fast and precise fills, complemented by a roomy 16-inch floor tom for powerful drops.

What sound does the 4-ply maple construction provide?
The 5 mm, 4-ply maple shells, reinforced with 4-ply reinforcements, deliver warm midrange and rounded lows. This construction promotes a structured resonance with controlled projection.
Is the 22-inch bass drum equipped for a more focused sound?
A bass drum muffler is included to achieve a more focused strike. The installed Remo heads provide a good base for either an open or shorter tuning.
