Historical Context and Positioning in the Range
Continuing Pearl's great tradition of bass drum pedal innovation, the Demon spirit is here offered in a more accessible version. The P-830 Demon Style positions itself as a pedal with a very attractive quality/price ratio, designed to modernize an entry-level or mid-range drum kit without sacrificing precision.
Who This Drum/Instrument Is For
The Demon Style P-830 is aimed at beginner to intermediate drummers who want a reliable pedal to work on consistency, speed (rock, punk, metal), as well as control (pop, funk, variety). Its stable feel is also well suited for rehearsals and as a first "serious" pedal.

Questions frequently asked
Is the Pearl Demon Style P-830 suitable for beginners?
This model is aimed at beginner to intermediate drummers looking for a serious first bass drum pedal. Its single chain drive and Perfect Circle cam provide a linear response to help work on consistency.
What type of drive does this bass drum pedal use?
The drive system is a single chain. This design is paired with a Perfect Circle cam, engineered to deliver a linear feel.
Can the beater angle be adjusted on the P-830?
An infinite beater angle adjustment is provided. A closer beater angle offers more responsiveness, while a wider angle favors projection. This setting allows the pedal behavior to be tailored.
What kind of attack does the felt/plastic beater offer?
The reversible felt/plastic beater allows a choice between a warm, rounded sound with felt or a sharper attack with plastic.
Does the P-830 have a stable baseplate?
The baseplate is a double type. The pedal is a single version in gray color.
