A New Generation of Peterson Stroboscopic Clip-On Tuners
With the StroboClip HDC-V, Peterson advances its series of clip-on tuners by integrating its high-precision stroboscopic technology into a compact format, designed to mount directly on the headstock. This generation stands out with an adjustable HD color screen and modernized power supply thanks to USB-C charging, for more convenient use in rehearsals, on stage, or at home.
For Which Musicians and Uses?
The Peterson StroboClip HDC-V is aimed at musicians who want fast, readable, and extremely precise tuning : guitarists, bassists, ukulele players, mandolin players, but also wind or orchestral instrumentalists depending on needs. Thanks to the Drop Tuning, Capo, and transposition functions (from -6 to +5), it is very suitable for on-the-fly tuning changes and concert situations where every second counts. Its stable tracking down to 16 Hz provides real comfort for demanding instruments and settings in the low register.
Sound Quality
A tuner does not directly influence timbre, but it conditions intonation and thus the perception of your sound, especially in a group or during recordings. The StroboClip HDC-V's "moving" stroboscopic display highlights the slightest pitch deviations, which facilitates finer tuning, better intonation control, and more precise setups on sensitive instruments (new strings, alternate tunings, aggressive pick playing, etc.). The Sweetened tunings also allow adapting intonation to certain playing contexts and instrument families.
- Wide viewing angle, clearly visible even in bright sunlight
- Soft rubber-covered jaws to protect the instrument’s finishing and ensure a secure grip
- Raised power button for quick identification on stage
- Tactile buttons with a positive click for precise setting changes
