Designed to guide you step by step, this method accompanies you in discovering and mastering slap bass playing, a technique as iconic as it is musical. Throughout the 7 chapters, you start with the pillars of slap: the thumb slap and the pull. Once these fundamentals are in place, you approach the playing effects that give full depth to the groove: dead notes, hammer-ons, pull-offs, slides, and left-hand slap. The approach is structured: each technique is first isolated and practiced through progressive exercises, then applied in a wide variety of well-crafted grooves to develop rhythmic precision, attack, and consistency.

The included disc reinforces learning with complementary content. The videos (mp4) show the grooves as they should be played, at normal speed and then slow motion, to clearly observe the movements and synchronize both hands. Purely technical exercises are also offered at an adapted speed, facilitating skill development without skipping steps. On the audio side (mp3), you benefit from playbacks corresponding to the grooves, again at two tempos : ideal for practicing cleanly, then gradually speeding up.
