This method is designed to help you learn and especially understand the use of the minor pentatonic scale on bass, both in a rhythmic context (groove) and melodic context (phrasing, line construction, variations). After an essential theoretical introduction, you dive into the heart of the subject with a structured journey around the 12 minor pentatonic scales that every bassist should know inside out, avoiding rote memorization without logic.
Each scale is presented in a very clear way: on the left, you find the scale name, the note positions on the fretboard (22-fret bass), and, a key point for playing accurately in style, the chords on which it works safely. This dual reading (notes + harmony) helps immediately connect the position under your fingers to the musical reality, to better improvise, compose, or enrich your accompaniments.
On the right, the method offers a long bass line built exclusively with the studied scale: a concrete example illustrating the potential of the minor pentatonic in context. To go further, each study is accompanied by two downloadable recordings : a demonstration version to hear the intention and sound, then a playback track for you to play along.
