Summary of This Method
This second volume continues the learning of flamenco guitar by deepening essential "por medio" styles, that is, in a typical color of the flamenco repertoire. Two chapters are dedicated to siguiriya, tientos, and tangos, with particular attention given to compás, rhythmic variations, and the logic of transitions.
A full chapter then explores alegrías in A major and A minor keys. This section also serves as an entry point to dance accompaniment: placement of accents, management of dynamics, the role of the guitar in listening and interaction, in order to better understand the "accompanist" function in the flamenco context.
On the technical side, the method develops the right-hand fundamentals seen in volume 1 (picado, alzapúa, arpeggios, complex rasgueados) and offers new tools such as tremolo, useful for enriching sound, fluidity, and projection. Left-hand work is not neglected: mobility and endurance across the entire fretboard, barre chords, extensions, and legato techniques are addressed to gain comfort and precision.
Finally, the CD includes all the musical examples: an ideal support to lock in rhythm, refine attack, memorize phrases, and progress faster in the interpretation of flamenco phrasing.
