Following the lineage of the Custom 24 introduced in 1985, this SE Custom 24 Semi-Hollow Piezo retains the PRS hallmarks that made the model successful: comfort, manufacturing precision, and versatility. Here, the semi-hollow chamber and the addition of the piezo transform the guitar into a true hybrid platform, ideal for switching between modern electric sounds and more "acoustic" layers without changing instruments, both in the studio and on stage.

Who is it for, and in which styles?

This PRS is primarily aimed at intermediate to expert guitarists who want a single guitar capable of covering a wide set. Rock, pop, funk, blues, jazz, fusion: the humbuckers deliver solid rhythms and singing leads, while the piezo adds a woodier, more precise color for arpeggios, accompaniment, or intros. The dedicated outputs allow very clean management of both worlds (for example, to two amplification chains), providing reliable control in live situations.

The sound

The semi-hollow mahogany construction provides a warm foundation, with a more open response than a solid body, and a pleasant "breathing" sensation on attacks as well as sustained chords. The flamed maple top, "Shallow Violin" profile, adds definition and clarity, helping the guitar remain clear in a busy mix. The PRS 85/15 "S" pickups deliver a modern balance: firm lows, precise mids, and bright highs, with a split that opens up snappier tones for funk grooves, arpeggios, or sharper rhythms. The LR Baggs/PRS piezo emphasizes a clear and usable "acoustic" texture, particularly effective on dedicated output or in a mix to broaden the sonic spectrum.

Recommended compatible accessories

To stay as close as possible to the original setup, a set of electric strings in 10-46 gauge is perfectly suitable. If you want to use both outputs, plan for two 6.35 mm jack cables (one for the magnetic output, one for the Mix/Piezo output). The guitar is delivered with a gig bag for daily transport and protection.
