A PRS x David Grissom Collaboration That Has Become a Standard
The result of over twenty years of joint work between Paul Reed Smith and David Grissom, the DGT refines the McCarty series DNA to meet the demands of stage and studio. Custom-developed pickups, refined ergonomics, and dedicated wiring define a guitar with a decidedly vintage character, designed for musicality and reliability.
Who Is This Guitar For?
Designed for intermediate to professional guitarists, the DGT excels in blues, rock, country, Americana, and pop. Coil splitting offers sharp rhythms and bright arpeggios, while full-powered humbuckers deliver dense leads and thick rhythms.
The Sound
The mahogany body provides rich mids and generous sustain, complemented by the precision and attack of the carved flamed maple top. The DGT humbuckers, tuned for a vintage voice, respond finely to playing nuances. The two independent volumes allow precise blending in the middle position, and the push/pull tone control opens up more airy single-coil-like textures. The PRS Gen II vibrato, combined with locking tuners, ensures reliable tuning stability without choking the resonance.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
