This S2 version (2024 model) aims for the perfect balance between traditional character and manufacturing consistency, featuring solid craftsmanship, a slightly thicker body to enhance sustain, and an aesthetic true to the McCarty family. The Dark Cherry Sunburst finish highlights the carved flamed maple top, for a classic and high-end look.

The sound
The acoustic foundation is based on a mahogany body paired with a flamed maple top: mahogany provides roundness, rich mids, and sustain, while maple adds attack and definition, ideal for maintaining clarity in overdrive. The PRS 58/15 LT humbuckers (neck and bridge) deliver a warm, articulate, and very "vintage" tone: a full low end at the neck pickup, and a precise bridge pickup for riffs and leads. The electronics with 2 volumes and 2 push/pull tone controls allow splitting the pickups to achieve clearer, finer timbres with a lighter, snappier output, perfect for clean rhythms and arpeggios. The 3-position selector switch completes the setup for instant switching between tonal ranges.
