This PRS is aimed both at the motivated beginner seeking an evolving guitar and the experienced guitarist who wants immediate versatility without getting lost in complex electronics. It excels in rock, blues, pop, funk, and fusion: the splits provide ideal articulation for clean, punchy rhythms, while the humbucker mode delivers the foundation, tone, and sustain needed for riffs and solos.

The sound

The TCI "S" pickups offer a balanced response: firm lows, singing mids, and precise highs, with clear articulation in both chords and lead playing. Thanks to the two mini-switches, each pickup can be split independently: you can combine a more open and edgy neck sound with a thicker bridge, or vice versa, adapting the guitar to each song. The mahogany + flamed maple construction enhances warmth while adding attack, and the Stoptail promotes direct vibration transfer, resulting in long sustain and excellent tuning stability. With a straightforward layout (1 volume, 1 tone, 3-position selector), tone changes are quick and effective in live settings.

Recommended compatible accessories

To stay close to the original feel, choose a nickel string set gauge 10-46. A good quality 6.35 mm instrument jack cable, a clip-on tuner, and an electric guitar capo efficiently complete the setup, whether at home, rehearsal, or on stage.
