An S2 Designed for Active Musicians, at the Heart of the PRS Spirit
The PRS S2 Standard 22 Satin follows a "workhorse" approach: a highly performing, reliable, and inspiring electric guitar for everyday use. In this 2025 version, the instrument gains PRS Phase III locking tuners with Wing buttons and a satin Red Apple Metallic finish. Its fine and durable nitro finish promotes excellent resonance, with clarity noticeable even when unplugged.
For Whom, and For Which Styles?
This PRS is especially aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists who want a versatile guitar, ready for rehearsals, stage, and studio. Thanks to its 25" / 635 mm scale length and Regular profile, it remains comfortable for rhythm playing as well as solos. It excels in rock, blues, pop, funk, and alternative, while maintaining clear definition in clean tones and solid mids in overdrive.
The Sound
The combination of a solid mahogany body and a glued mahogany neck delivers a warm grain, a rounded attack, and very present sustain. The PRS 58/15 LT humbucker pickups complement this character with clear highs, powerful mids, and a well-controlled low end, ideal for transitioning from bright cleans to dense saturation without losing articulation. The 5-position selector expands the palette: easily navigating between thickness, clarity, and more "quack" nuances for punchy rhythms.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
The guitar comes with a Premium Gig Bag. To stay within original specifications, a set of 10-46 electric strings is recommended for replacements (same gauge as factory-installed).
