PRS S2 Vela SH Satin Metallic Midnight

A 2025 S2 Vela: The PRS USA Spirit, with Added Personality

This S2 Vela Semi-Hollow Satin (model 2025) fits within the founding idea of the S2 series: offering a PRS made in the USA with a strong identity, blending tradition and modernity. Here, the Vela takes the concept further thanks to its semi-hollow construction and satin nitro finish, which enhance the organic side of the instrument. This 2025 version also stands out with its PRS Phase III locking tuners and its new Metallic Midnight satin color.

For Which Guitarists and Styles?

The S2 Vela Semi-Hollow is aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists who want an expressive, dynamic electric guitar capable of covering many styles without losing its character. It excels in rock, indie, punk, pop, garage, and energetic blues: styles where you want a guitar that "responds" under the fingers, with a strong presence in the mix. Its ergonomics and 25-inch scale length also make it very comfortable for precise rhythm playing as well as incisive leads.

Sound

The semi-hollow mahogany body provides a more open resonance than a solid body: more air in the sound, a more acoustic feel in the attack, and enhanced natural sustain. In the treble, the PRS DS-01 delivers biting brightness, ideal for tense riffs and clear attacks. In the bass, the PRS Narrowfield combines precision and punch, with a clean and articulated low end, perfect for rhythms that remain clear.

Regarding controls, the push-pull tone control allows you to split the treble pickup to access finer and snappier textures, very useful for switching from a muscular register to drier, more balanced sounds. The PRS fixed bridge, with brass saddles and aluminum plate, promotes a sharp attack and solid sustain while remaining practical thanks to top-loading string installation.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To preserve the original feel, choose a set of electric strings gauge 10-46 (same as factory setup). A tuner and some picks suited to your attack complete the setup perfectly. The guitar comes with a gig bag, so you are ready for rehearsals and gigs.
