Born from a close collaboration with Herman Li, the SE Chleo captures the spirit of the Chleo Limited Edition 2025 and translates it into the SE series, with a clear philosophy: a high-performance, modern guitar built to withstand the most demanding techniques. Within the PRS SE range, it stands out for its unapologetic "shred/metal" orientation while retaining PRS elegance thanks to its carved maple top and spectacular Charcoal Purple Burst finish.

The PRS SE Chleo is aimed at intermediate to expert guitarists seeking a fast, precise, and reliable instrument for both live and studio use. It excels in power metal, prog, djent, and hard rock but also delivers very clear, defined clean tones for intros, arpeggios, and more atmospheric parts. Its ergonomics and very thin neck profile naturally favor legato, tapping, sweeping, and strong bends without sacrificing long-term comfort.
The Sound
The mahogany body + carved maple top construction provides a highly effective balance: a clear and articulate attack, present mids, and a warm foundation that remains musical even under high gain. The bolt-on maple neck, reinforced with carbon rods, adds rigidity and immediate "snap," while the ebony fingerboard enhances precision, definition, and harmonic clarity. On the electronics side, the Fishman Fluence Herman Li pickups offer multiple voices per pickup: from tight, aggressive high-gain tones to more organic textures, and even brighter single-coil-like options, all controlled by a 5-position selector and two push/pull pots to multiply combinations. The Floyd Rose 1000 completes the setup with excellent tuning stability and maximum expressiveness, ideal for modern playing styles.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To stay as close as possible to the original feel, a 9-46 electric string set is a coherent choice with the factory setup, especially with a Floyd Rose tremolo. Also plan for a spare 9V battery (for active pickups), a strap, a reliable jack cable, and a stable guitar stand for stage or home studio use. The guitar comes with a gig bag.
