The Essentials to Know About the PRS SE Studio Charcoal Cherry Burst Guitar
- Ultra-versatile S/S/H configuration: two PRS Narrowfield DD "S" pickups (bridge/middle) + one PRS 58/15 LT "S" pickup (neck) to cover everything from crystalline cleans to thick drive.
- Stage-ready electronics: 5-position selector and push/pull tone control to multiply combinations without complication.
- Balanced PRS craftsmanship: mahogany body + carved "Shallow Violin" flamed maple top for body, attack, and great presence.
- Modern comfort: Wide Thin neck, 22 frets, 25" / 635 mm scale length, and iconic PRS look with "Birds" inlays.
A 2025 SE Studio: PRS DNA, Versatility First
This PRS SE Studio 2025 was designed as a true bridge between classic tones and current needs: a guitar capable of changing character quickly while retaining a recognizable PRS identity. With its refined aesthetics and musician-oriented technical choices, it fits perfectly within the SE line's spirit: accessible, reliable, and ready for both stage and studio.
For Which Guitarists and Styles?
The PRS SE Studio targets intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking a chameleon electric guitar: pop, rock, funk, blues, indie, worship, or fusion. The Wide Thin profile facilitates fast runs, extended chords, and long sessions, while the PRS tremolo encourages expressive playing (vibrato, subtle dives) without sacrificing tuning stability.
The Sound
The mahogany + maple foundation offers a very musical balance: mahogany provides dense mids and a sustaining feel, while the maple top adds attack and definition. On pickups, the Narrowfield DD "S" (bridge/middle) deliver remarkable clarity and precision, ideal for clean rhythms, arpeggios, and articulate tones. The 58/15 LT "S" in the neck position brings a warmer, more "humbucker-like" sound, with body for solos and a nice roundness in crunch. The 5-position selector and push/pull tone expand the tonal palette: you can move from tight, modern sounds to more open textures, with useful nuances for both recording and live performance.
