An All-Mahogany PRS in the Spirit of Historical Models
The PRS Standard 24 Satin follows the lineage of PRS all-mahogany "pre-factory" guitars, with a deliberately stripped-down approach: a solid mahogany body and a satin nitro finish that highlights the instrument's lines. This 2025 model retains PRS fundamentals (25" scale, 24 frets, patented vibrato) while offering a rawer, more direct identity focused on wood and musical response.
Who Is It For, and In Which Styles?
With its PRS Pattern Thin neck, the Standard 24 Satin is particularly suited for intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking a responsive and comfortable electric guitar across the entire neck, including high-register playing thanks to the 24 frets. Its tonal balance and 5-position selector make it comfortable in rock, pop, funk, modern blues, alternative, as well as in home studio contexts where a versatile instrument without mix heaviness is desired.
The Sound
The all-mahogany construction gives this PRS a warm character, with a midrange density that helps the guitar "cut through" in a band while maintaining roundness on sustained notes. The violin-style carved top contributes to the vibration sensation and overall balance, while the 25" / 635 mm scale length provides well-measured string tension: firm enough for precise chords, yet flexible for expressive playing.
On the electronics side, the two PRS DMO (Dynamic, Musical, Open) pickups are described as very "open": a wideband response, pleasant from lows to highs, with effective use of the 5 positions to shift from a full and broad register to clearer, more articulated textures. The patented PRS vibrato (Gen III) completes the setup for vibrato effects while maintaining a premium feel under the right hand.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To stay as close as possible to the original feel, you can opt for a set of electric guitar strings in 10-46 gauge (the same gauge as factory-installed). A 6.35 mm jack cable and a tuner naturally complete a reliable set for stage, rehearsals, and studio.

Questions frequently asked
What sound does the PRS Standard 24 Satin Pearl White offer?
The all-mahogany construction provides dense mids and a pleasing warmth on sustained notes. The PRS DMO Bass and Treble pickups deliver a response described as open, from low to high frequencies.
Is the Pattern Thin neck suitable for fast playing?
The Pattern Thin profile, combined with the 25-inch (635 mm) scale length, promotes smooth handling across the 24 frets. The 10-inch (254 mm) radius supports expressive playing in the upper registers.
What pickup positions are available?
A 5-way selector allows use of the two PRS DMO pickups, offering tones ranging from full sounds to clearer, more articulate textures.
Does the PRS Gen III tremolo hold tune?
The bridge is a patented PRS Gen III tremolo. The guitar is equipped with PRS Phase III locking tuners with brass shafts. Tuning stability is thus improved during string changes.
What case and strings should be provided for this model?
A molded PRS case is included. The factory setup features steel strings gauged 10-46; a 6.35 mm jack cable and a tuner can complement the gear.
