Catapult Mini RX: a receiver link in the Catapult ecosystem to simplify multicore setups
The Catapult Mini RX follows a simple concept: replacing a section of analog audio multicore with a single shielded Cat 5 network cable while retaining familiar XLR connectivity. It serves as the receiver module in a Catapult link, capable of recovering four analog channels from a Catapult Mini TX or another Catapult module over several tens of meters. In a modern stage configuration (FOH, monitors, side rack, patch), this "compact box + XLR tails" format saves setup time, reduces cabling weight, and secures routing with a single cable.
Who is this Cat 5 to XLR receiver for?
The Catapult Mini RX is particularly suited for sound engineers, stage technicians, and service providers who want to remote 4 analog lines without running a heavy, bulky multicore. It is also ideal for bands and setups with a monitor rack or patch near the stage, when orderly transmission of mic or line signals to the console, stage rack, recorder, or distribution system is desired.
In event contexts, it provides an efficient solution to cross high-traffic areas (audience, technical corridors, stage bridges) with a single cable. In installations, its small footprint facilitates integration into tight spaces while maintaining immediate XLR outputs for maximum compatibility with existing gear.

Questions frequently asked
Is the Radial CATAPULT-mini-rx compatible with a Catapult Mini TX?
Compatibility is planned with the Catapult Mini TX as well as other Catapult modules. The link carries 4 analog audio channels over a shielded Cat 5 network cable.
How many XLR channels can be received with this receiver?
Four female XLR outputs allow for retrieval of 4 analog channels. Both mic and line levels are accepted, with a maximum input level specified at 35 dBu.
What length of network cable can be used with the Catapult Mini RX?
The indicated range reaches several tens of meters using a shielded Cat 5 cable. The connection is made via an EtherCon connector.
Are the XLR outputs convenient to connect in a rack or on stage?
Each cable is 60 cm long and has an expandable braided sleeve. Heat-shrink color-coded labels make identification of the four channels easier during patching. The enclosure measures 107 x 34 x 41 mm.
Does the Catapult Mini RX transmit digital audio?
No digital conversion is integrated: the link carries analog audio signals.
