Extension Reason Rack (Download) is a Rack Extension dedicated to rotary speaker simulation, ideal for adding movement, width, and character to your sources in Reason. It is naturally used on organ sounds, electric keyboards, and pads, but also on guitars, vocals, or synths to create an organic modulation effect, ranging from a subtle stereo swirl to an intense and expressive rotation. Thanks to fine control of the engine dynamics and mix control, you can adapt the sound for both vintage productions and modern mixes.Main Features

The core of the effect is based on two diffusion elements, horn and drum, to reproduce the complexity of a complete rotary system. Stereo diffusion enhances the sense of space and improves clarity in the mix, especially on keyboards and pads. To finalize the sound directly within the rack, the effect includes a Drive to add density and warmth, an EQ to balance the spectrum, and a reverb to place the source in a coherent space. How to achieve slow/fast rotor transitions?
The acceleration and inertia parameters control the ramp-up and ramp-down speed of the motor. Both the horn and drum have variable speed, from slow movement to fast rotation. A CV control allows modulation of these parameters from Reason's CV tools.
Can this effect be used on vocals or guitar?
The effect can process guitars, vocals, and synths, in addition to organs, electric keyboards, and pads. The dry/wet mix controls the amount of processed signal in the mix.
What processing is integrated in the Rotary Speaker?
