Remo ET-4014-BD - BENDIR 14x4 MEDIUM LOW

Historical Context and Positioning in the Range

This type of effect instrument finds its place alongside small percussion and sound design accessories, used to enrich playing with organic textures. Its simple resonance principle emphasizes immediate sound impact and originality rather than a perfectly defined pitch.

Who This Drum/Instrument Is For

Suitable for beginners as well as percussionists seeking additional colors, it fits very well in world, theater, film music contexts, rhythmic workshops, and experimental creations. Its ergonomics promote quick handling and intuitive playing.

Features and Innovations

The thumb hole secures the hold and helps control intensity. The single-string resonance system produces a rich "buzz," useful for creating tension effects, restarts, or short, punchy sound signatures.

The Sound

The response centers on a pronounced buzzing, with a sensation of grain and vibration. The output mainly depends on the attack and gesture control, offering a lively effect, very effective for filling space without overloading the high-frequency spectrum.
