What Rhodes V-Pan FX Plugin Is For
Rhodes V-Pan is a stereo effect plugin dedicated to modulated panning: it animates the left/right position of a source in space, organically or radically depending on your settings. It can be used both in mixing (opening a track, creating movement, freeing up center space) and in sound design (vibrant textures, fast pulses, rotation illusions, effects bordering on frequency modulation).Designed to bring the spirit of legendary Rhodes circuits into modern production, it can be inserted on virtually any signal: electric keyboards and pianos, guitars, pads, percussion, synths, doubled vocals, or effects buses. Thanks to tempo sync and precise waveform control, V-Pan becomes an expressive tool for pop, funk, hip-hop, electro, ambient, cinematic, or experimental productions.

Is Rhodes V-Pan compatible with Mac Apple Silicon?
Compatibility covers macOS Big Sur 11 to macOS Sonoma 14, on both Intel and Apple Silicon processors. It is designed to work in both Rosetta mode and native mode. An Internet connection is required.
Can the autopan be synced to the project tempo?
BPM synchronization allows the panning movement to be aligned with the rhythmic grid, with divisions such as eighth notes or quarter notes.
What speed range does the Rhodes V-Pan FX Plugin offer?
The speed ranges from very slow movements up to audio frequencies. Wide sweeps over several bars can thus be achieved on a pad or piano. At high speeds, the effect can produce complex beating and tones close to ring modulation.
How is the stereo panning shape adjusted?
A continuously variable waveform allows transitioning from smooth sweeps to more defined transitions. The Waveform Slew and Smooth parameters affect the curve and the rendering of transitions. Depth controls the extent of movement between left and right.
What is the minimum system requirement to install this plugin?
Installation requires at least 8 GB of RAM, 1.13 GB of free disk space, and a resolution of 1280 x 960. The interface is resizable and the software is provided as a downloadable file. On GarageBand with Intel Mac, an issue reported in November 2023 involving a third-party copy protection provider may prevent the V-Rack system from working.
