Historical Context and Positioning Within the Range
Rohema Percussion is a German family business specializing in the manufacture of drumsticks and percussion instruments since 1888. These rods embody the brand's spirit: offering reliable and musical alternatives to traditional drumsticks, with particular attention to materials and manufacturing consistency, to meet the needs of drummers and percussionists alike.
Who This Drum/Instrument Is For
These Rohema rods are aimed at beginner to advanced musicians seeking a versatile solution to play at controlled volume without losing the feel of traditional drumsticks. They are especially suitable for styles where dynamics and nuance are essential: pop, variety, acoustic sessions, light funk, modern jazz, worship, as well as rehearsal settings, small stages, and intimate accompaniment. Their effectiveness on both drum kit and percussion (including cajon) makes them a practical choice for hybrid setups.

Questions frequently asked
Do the Rohema Smooth Bamboo Rods help reduce the volume of the drum kit?
The 26 bamboo strands soften the attack compared to a full stick and limit the attack peaks on the cymbals. Definition remains present on the snare drum and toms.
How to adjust the response of the bamboo rods?
Two adjustment rings allow modifying the spacing of the strands. Tight rings focus the attack and enhance precision. Loose rings provide a more diffuse and muffled strike.
Are these rods suitable for cajon?
The flexible bamboo structure allows nuanced playing on cajon, with precise slaps and softer central hits.
What are the dimensions of these Rohema rods?
The length is 38.5 cm, that is 385 mm, with a diameter of 1.5 cm. The size is based on 26 strands.
Is the handle suitable for long playing sessions?
The rubber handle offers a stable grip and comfort when the hand gets warm.
