A Premium Furniture Piano at the Heart of the HP Series
The Roland HP704-WH belongs to the "furniture" piano family of the HP700 series, with a clear focus on playing comfort and domestic elegance. Its positioning targets demanding pianists seeking a touch close to an acoustic piano, generous amplification, and current connectivity, all in an instrument with refined design, easy to integrate at home or in a studio.
Keyboard Design
With its PHA-50 88-key keyboard, the HP704-WH combines a wood core with a composite structure to blend natural sensations and long-term stability. The escapement provides a more realistic feel during pianissimos and rapid repetitions, while the synthetic ivory/ebony texture enhances grip and control, even during long sessions. The adjustable velocity sensitivity allows fine-tuning of the response to playing style, from technical practice to the most expressive repertoire.
Sound Quality
The sound core relies on SuperNATURAL Piano Modeling technology, designed to reproduce piano behaviors (attack, sustain, resonances, and transitions) with a lively and coherent rendering. The HP704-WH offers 324 tones (acoustic/electric pianos, organs, strings, and more), with unlimited polyphony for piano sounds (in solo play) and extended polyphony for other timbres. On the sound projection side, the Acoustic Projection with 4 speakers (2 x 25 W + 2 x 5 W) ensures a broad soundstage, solid bass, and detailed highs. For quiet playing, the Headphones 3D Ambience function enhances headphone immersion and reduces the "in-the-head" sensation.
