What Roland JUNO-60 Chorus Is For
Roland JUNO-60 Chorus is an effect plug-in designed to bring the spatial signature of the famous analog synthesizer JUNO-60 to your tracks. While a classic chorus adds simple modulation, the JUNO-60's chorus has become a true "sound ingredient": it thickens, widens, and gives a sense of movement that instantly makes a sound more alive. It is ideal for enhancing pads, leads, synthetic basses, but also for adding depth to guitars, electric pianos, vocals, or effect buses in pop, synthwave, electro, ambient, indie, or house productions.
Main Features
The JUNO Character, Straightforward
The original JUNO-60 stereo chorus has marked generations of productions thanks to its "musical" setting designed to enhance the instrument's sound engine. This plug-in adopts the same philosophy: you get a natural width, a sense of spaciousness, and an immediately recognizable coloration without getting lost in a multitude of parameters. It's the perfect tool when you want to go from a "clean" sound to a "record" sound with one click.
Three Modes, Three Personalities
As with the minimalist Chorus section of the JUNO-60, everything is about the modes. The Chorus I mode provides a soft shimmer and subtle modulation, excellent for thickening without overly moving the attack. The Chorus II mode pushes the effect further with a deeper and wider sensation. And by combining I+II, you get the famous "secret" mode, more exaggerated and rotary, perfect for cinematic pads, arpeggios that fill the stereo field, or deliberately lo-fi textures.
A Lively Sound, Down to the Details
To stay faithful to the vintage experience, each mode is modeled with its particularities, including variable analog noises that contribute to the charm of the effect. You precisely control this dimension thanks to the Noise control, allowing you to switch from a clean and modern sound to a more retro patina. Finally, the interface pays tribute to the JUNO-60's look, preserving the "instrument" feeling rather than a "simple plug-in" vibe.
