Small size. Massive grooves.
Produce and play music anywhere, anytime, without frustration or complications. The GROOVEBOX MC-101 features all the high-quality sounds, sequences, and effects of the professional MC-707 in a compact, easily portable four-track version. Start with the ready-to-play sound library and musical patterns, or easily create your own. Find your unique style by importing your own sounds and loops synced to the tempo. You can also use the MC-101 live by triggering its clips or manipulating its sounds with physical controllers.
A pocket production studio.
The MC-101 is a professional production tool that offers the sounds and many features of its big brother, the MC-707. And there are many advantages to being small! The MC-101 is sturdy yet lightweight and runs for about five hours on four AA batteries. This lets you create sounds, drum patterns, and musical phrases wherever you want. But this is not just an instrument for sketching initial composition ideas. It allows you to create professional-quality tracks or backing tracks for the stage.
Turn creative sparks into a blaze.
The MC-101 features a four-track sequencer optimized for producing contemporary electronic music. Use the 16 RGB pads to create drum beats, basslines, or synth lines and craft your own music. You get a true musical playground where you can freely combine loops and individual sounds with melodies, including your own MIDI sequences and audio recordings. Compose and trigger clips, rearrange them, resample, record automations...
A portable studio packed with vintage instruments.
The MC-101 includes the Roland sounds that have defined electronic music for over forty years. The legendary TR-808, TR-909, JUNO-106, and SH-101 sounds are all here, ready to resonate or be combined and modified to produce entirely new sounds.
